How would you deal with used and worn-out jeans? Throwing them away is the common way.
你们怎么处理旧了的、穿破的牛仔裤呢？大多是一扔了事吧。
But South Korean artist Choi So-young transforms them into a fabulous series of collage paintings,Feeling the Seasons.
韩国艺术家崔素荣却把牛仔布做成了拼贴画。感受下这个名为“感受季节”的系列有多美。


Choi aspired to be a painter when she was at primary school. Besides oil paintings, she has for years created with denim.
上小学的时候，崔素荣萌生了成为画家的想法。除了油画，多年来她还使用牛仔布来创作。
Her first work was made of a pair of jeans which was worn by herself and her two sisters.
她的第一件作品就是用一条她和两个姐妹都穿过的牛仔裤做的。

She created this series after she moved to live in a mountain: "I climbed and walked. I felt my body and my heart being slowly recuperated.

Choi's works are now on show at MOCA Yinchuan, a museum along the Yellow River.

They are part of an ongoing exhibition,Very Sustainable — Environmental Revelation,孔垂燊 through Dec 24. Featured artists from across the world recycle the used赤蝶, wastes and inconspicuous daily objects.
“感受季节”系列陈列与“非常持续 —— 环保启示录”这个展览上倒装壶 ，持续到12月24日。参展的艺术家来自世界各地，他们在作品中循环利用了许多废弃材料，或者不起眼的日常物品。

Some works address environmental protection and over-consumption.
有些作品探讨环境保护和过度消费这些议题。

Others touch deeply on our feelings, reminding us of intimate family bonds and cityscapes which brought us warmth but are now disappearing.

For instance, the couple of Swiss husband Jonas Merian and his Chinese wife Chen Nina both take interest in the history of Shanghai where they live and work.

Merian worked as a repairer of prosthetic limbs for 17 years and then, he became a self-employed furniture designer.

He collects many furniture articles and daily-used objects from flea markets. He recycles them in his works through which he hopes to reignite people's memories of the city's past.

Nina's works combine colorful, old wooden window frames with photos. Through one of the frames, people can see a picture of old buildings that are under demolition or to be pulled down.

Things that are dilapidated are doomed to be abandoned and fading away. So are the cityscapes. And artworks and images become the only evidences of their existence.
破旧的物件大抵逃脱不了被抛弃、销声匿迹的命运，如同周遭的城市风景。只有艺术作品和影像成为他们曾经存在的唯一证明。

One of my favorites at the exhibition is Akinori Matsumoto's enthralling and playful work, calledAkinori Matsumoto in Yinchuan.
我在这次展览上最喜欢的作品之一是松本秋则的这件让人着迷、充满童趣的作品，“松本秋则在银川”阮伟旌 。


He uses common objects, such as bamboo, paper and small battery-operated motors, and he facilitates wind and water power. He thus creates an environment in which sounds and visual art achieve harmony.
他使用的材料大多都很日常，比如竹子、纸、小型电动机车，他同时还借助风力和水力申小梅 。他用这些物件营造出一个声音与视觉艺术和谐统一的环境。

He says he is a self-taught artist应无求 , and when he traveled extensively in Asia, he was most influenced by ethnic folk arts in different countries.
松本秋则称自己是自学成才，他曾经周游亚洲各国，受到了不同地区民间艺术的深刻影响。
He stayed in many villages and attended their traditional festivals which安可来福, he believes, combine visual elements, music and performance art so perfectly.
他在许多村庄停留，参加当地的传统节日exomv 。他认为这些节日完美的融合了视觉元素、音乐和行为艺术。
